04/07/2019Peter McVeyAll is not lost at the Stag and Thistle. Yesterday all three ale pumps were in use.at least one ale was from Drygate. The problem was that no pump clip or point of sale material was displayed. the ales were listed on a board to the side. Obviously I pointed out that it is essential that there should be some kind of sign that the pump is operating and the identity of the ale. the manager said he would like to do that. The stock reply. I will keep on at him. Obviously any members passing should also look in.
27/06/2019Rog HarrisonMacSorley's in Jamaica Street has reopened with three cask ales on handpump. Yesterday they had Fyne Jarl, Harviestoun Bitter & Twisted and a beer without a badge called Old Sea Dog (Cameron's? the bar staff did not seem to know). Sadly the beer was in poor condition and I did not not finish my pint of Jarl.
